  • 1983: Born in Seoul, South Korea.
  • 2000: Moved to the USA and started studies at the Curtis Institute of Music with Julius Baker and Jeffrey Khaner.
  • 2002: Senior division winner of the Albert M. Greenfield Student Competition, sponsored by the Philadelphia Orchestra.
  • 2004: Began graduate studies at the Juilliard School.
  • 2006: Korean releasing of her first album, Jasmine Choi Plays Mozart (Sony BMG), with Xavier de Maistre (harp) and Mozart Collegium Wien / Christian Schulz. Symphony Magazine included her as one of two flautists in their list of emerging artists.
  • 2007: Associate Principal Flute of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra.
  • 2009: Wigmore Hall debut in London, United Kingdom.
  • 2011: Released the album Fantasy (Sonny Classical) with pianist Hugh Sung.
  • 2012: Principal Flute of the Vienna Symphony, in Austria, becoming the first Korean-born member of this orchestra in its history. Released the album Claude Bolling Suite for Flute and Jazz Trio (Sonny Classical) with Hugh Sung (piano), Sam Minaie (bass), and Nathaniel Smith (drums).
  • 2013: Released the album W. A. Mozart: Five Quartets With Flute (Sony Classical) with members of the Vienna Symphony.
  • 2014: Premiered the Mark Laycock Flute Concerto, dedicated to her, with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra / Laycock.
  • 2015: Selected as one of the ten best flautists in the history of music by Sinfini Magazine UK, along with Marcel Moyse, Jean-Pierre Rampal, Julius Baker, James Galway, and Emmanuel Pahud. Released the album The Telemann Files — 12 Fantasies for Solo Flute (Austrian Gramophone).
  • 2016: Named as Cultural Ambassador in her hometown, Daejon, South Korea.
  • 2017: Released the free improvisations album Trio Joy (Klopotec) with bassist Joe Fonda and drummer Harvey Sorgen, and the live album Love in Paris (Credia International) with pianist Sangwook Park.
  • 2018: Artist-In-Residence of the New York Classical Players (for three consecutive seasons). Artist-In-Residence at Sejong Center for the Performing Arts in Seoul (one of the most prominent concert halls in South Korea). Performed during Winter Olympics’ celebrations in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
  • 2019: Released three single albums: Reichert: Encore Solo (in February), Paganini: Caprice No. 24 (in March), and Clarke: Great Train Race (in April).
  • 2020: Released the album Brahms, Schumann, Reinecke (Sony Classical) with pianist Hugh Sung.
  • 2021: After spending more than three years designing it, he launched the SmartCase flute case.
